Sydney voted one of world’s best cities
Sydney has been voted the number one city in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific by the readers of Travel & Leisure, a leading US based travel magazine and website.
Minister for Tourism Jodi McKay said Sydney was also the only Australian city to win a coveted top ten place as one of the world's best cities in the Travel & Leisure 2010 World's Best Awards.
"Sydney ranked number six on this highly regarded annual list of the World's Best Cities, ahead of London, Paris and New York." Ms McKay said.
"Readers voted for their top global cities based on a range of criteria including sights, culture and art, restaurants and food, people, shopping and value for money…"
